The incident created a massive furore across Assam with many people demanding that she be arrested and action taken against her for her anti-national and pro-Pakistant rant.
“We are investigating and have already registered a GD entry. The Jakukbari IC is probing the incident,” Guwahati Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar told News Live.
Incidentally, Rehna was also involved with ‘Miya Kobita’, a set of poems that had earlier created a flutter following a video that falsely claimed alleged discrimination towards Bengali-speaking Muslims in Assam, particularly during the ongoing NRC update process.
