Govt of India in touch with ULFA(I)

GUWAHATI: The Indian government is in touch with the ULFA(I) and expects a positive outcome. According to Assam Tribune, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly told BJP MPs about this development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board in the Parliament House on Tuesday.

United Liberation Front of Assam(I) commander-in-chief Paresh Baruah in a recent exclusive interview told News Live chief managing editor Syed Zarir Hussain that ULFA(I) is ready to come for peace talks on the outfit’s ‘core issue of sovereignty’.
