GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday promised that 1 lakh youths of the state would get government jobs in the first year of next BJP-led government in Assam. Dr. Sarma revealed BJP’s aim to provide jobs to ten lakhs youths of the state in next five years.

Addressing a public meeting at Margherita in the presence of union home minister Amit Shah, Dr. Sarma said, “We will provide livelihood to 10 lakh young boys and girls after forming a new government in Assam. In the first year itself, we will give government jobs to 1 lakh youths.”
