In the ongoing match between Netherlands and Australia, Glenn Maxwell has scripted history as he smashed the fastest hundred in the history of the World Cup.
Maxwell scored a 40-ball century and broke Aiden Markram’s 49-ball-century, which he struck a few weeks ago at the same ground in Delhi against Sri Lanka.
Maxwell took nine fewer balls than Markram to complete his century. His knock featured eight fours and eight sixes.
