GUWAHATI: A female student of Bhattadev University reportedly committed suicide at Pathsala in Assam’s Barpeta district. The girl named Rupali Nath was found hanging in a rented house at Pragati Nagar. The 20-year-old Rupali was living in the rented accommodation with her family. The family originally hails from Golaghat.
Later Pathsala Police recovered the body and sent for post-mortem at Barpeta on Sunday. The incident has created a sensation in the area. Family members as well as local people have been demanding proper investigation into the death of Rupali.
