GUWAHATI: With the arrival of a large number of Assam residents from different parts of the country the city of Guwahati recorded a sharp increase in COVID19 positive cases. Taking note of this trend the Assam state health department has started random tests that will cover 50,000 people in the city. Assam Targeted Surveillance Programme (ATSP) aims to test over 50,000 samples in 10 days starting June 17.
Residents of Guwahati can voluntarily get test done for COVID-19 at these centers:

- Ulubari Urban Hospital
- Khanapara State Dispensary
- Bhetapara State Dispensary
- Lokhora State Dispensary
- Bamunimaidan State Hospital,
- Santipur State Dispensary
- Odalbakra MPHC
- Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH)
- Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH)
- Capital State Dispensary, Dispur
- Pandu FRU
