Gaza War: Reports said that 61 people were killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza in the past 24 hours
GUWAHATI, March 24: The death toll in the Gaza war has crossed 50,000 with at least 61 killed in the past 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry stated.
1.13 lakh people have been injured in the offensive launched by Israel began in October last year, Qatar-based Aljazeera reported quoting the Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, at least five people were killed while several others wounded in an Israeli airstrike at Gaza’s Nasser hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis on Sunday (March 23).
The airstrike at Nasser Hospital targeted a key Hamas militant, the Israeli military said, while Hamas-affiliated Shehab news agency said the strike killed a member of Hamas’ political bureau, who has been identified as Ismail Barhoum.
Egypt, meanwhile, has introduced a new proposal to try and get the Israel-Hamas ceasefire back on track, the Associated Press reported.
