GUWAHATI: The new academic session of Gauhati University in Assam will begin by September 15, informed an official notification issued by the registrar of the university on Tuesday. Axxording to the notification, all the post graduate courses under Gauhati University will commence after August 15.
Gauhati University will complete admission to under graduate degree courses by July 15, 2020 subject to declaration of class XII results on time.
Further, the 2nd, 4th and 6th semester U.G. examinations will be held simultaneously in July, as it is linked with new admission at higher level.
Additionally, all remaining internal examinations for U.G. course are to be assignment-based/home assignment based.
According to a notification issued by the university, those U.G. students for whom physical based, lab based and field work-based activities are hampered due to the Covid-19 pandemic, such students may submit library/e-library based project work for the ongoing semester only.
