Gauhati University to restart classes for final semester students from September 1

GUWAHATI: After the suspension of physical classes for nearly six months due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Gauhati University in Assam is preparing to resume regular classes for the final semester students under the university.

According to a notification issued on Friday, the university prepares to restart regular classes for postgraduate (PG) 4^th semester, undergraduate (UG) 6^th semester, LLB  6^th semester and BALLB, BBALLB and B.COM LLB 10^th semester.

The notification states that hostels of the university will also reopen on September 1 and UG exams will begin from September 22. The commencement of PG examinations will commence from September 25.

However, changes may occur in the plan as per the directives by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

“The controller of examinations, G.U will publish detail notification regarding the conduct of examinations,” it added.
