Guwahati: The Gauhati University announced that the exams for the Postgraduate (PG) final year students shall be conducted online in view of the ongoing pandemic situation across the world.
The university on 8th September issued a fresh notification stating that the exams will now be held online.
The notification stated, “This is for information to all concerned that the Postgraduate (PG) Final Examinations of Gauhati University for the year 2020, which is to start from September 2020, will be held in the Online Mode. The Undergraduate (UG) Examinations will be held both in the online and offline mode,” read the notification undersigned by the registrar of the University.
The notification further added that detailed new SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for these new modes will be published by the Controller of Examinations of the University “very soon.” The GU authority recently decided to hold the exams for BA, B.Sc, and B.Com final year students from September 22 to October 15. The exams will be held for students of 350 affiliated colleges.
