Gauhati High Court gets bomb threat, second in two months

It is for the second time in two months that authorities have received e-mailed threats to blow up the Gauhati High Court building

Gauhati High Court has reportedly received a bomb threat after an e-mail threat to blow up the highest seat of judiciary in Assam was received from an unknown sender.

Reports said the e-mail was receieved from an unknown sender in which the sender reportedly threatened to blow up the court building.

However, neither the contents of the e-mail nor its source has been known so far as police remains tightlipped about the incident.

A team of cops from Latashil Police Station was seen entering the High Court premises after the threat mail was received.

Incidentally, it is for the second time, and twice in two months, that e-mailed threats to blow up the Gauhati High Court has been received.

A similar e-mail was received on April 22 this year in which the sender had also threatened to blow up the high court building.
