GUWAHATI, Dec 15: Travis Head once again turned nemesis for Team India as he slammed his second century of the series while former skipper Steve Smith also found form — reaching to his 32nd Test ton — to take Australia to 405 for seven at Stumps on Day 2 of the third test of the series at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Head, centurion in the second test at Adelaide, hit 18 fours on way to his 160-ball 152. Smith made 101 runs facing 190 balls.
Alex Carey was unbeaten on 45 while Mitchell Starc was not out on 7 when stumps were drawn for the day.
Head and Smith’s centuries overshadowed Bumrah’s fifer while Mohammed Siraj and Nitish Reddy picked up a wicket each.
