Funeral of Pope Francis in Rome on Saturday: The Vatican has said that at least 130 foreign delegations, including 50 heads of state and 10 reigning monarchs, have confirmed their attendance at the funeral of Pope Francis who passed away at Rome on Monday (April 21).
President Droupadi Murmu will represent India at Pope Francis’ funeral. President Murmu has already departed for Vatican City and is being accompanied by Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju; Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying George Kurian; and Deputy Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Joshua De Souza.
