GUWAHATI, Jan 31: Maha Kumbh’s viral sensation Monalisa — who turned into an overnight internet sensation for her striking amber eyes, dusky complexion and a very cute smile — is going to Bollywood after filmmaker Sanoj Mishra signed her for his upcoming movie ‘Diary of Manipur’.
Monalisa, who was selling garlands and beads at the Maha Kumbh Mela went viral due to her amber eyes and striking features, returned home in Madhya Pradesh following the intense attention she received from the media.
But director Sanoj Mishra had other ideas as he went straight to Monalisa’s village and signed her for his upcoming movie.
Mishra took to Instagram to share the news and also posted a video from Monalisa’s home with her.
While Monalisa will be seen in the lead role which, reports said, would be that of an Army officer’s daughter, she will also be trained in acting in Mumbai.
Reports stated that the film’s shooting is stated to begin sometime in February.
