GUWAHATI: A fresh aftershock was experienced in many parts of Assam at 4:03 p.m. As many as 10 aftershocks have jolted the State after the first 6-plus quake experienced at 7:51 a.m. on Wednesday.
Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a tweet no casualties have been reported after the massive quake shook the State.
“The massive 6.7 tremor in Assam has left people shell-shocked but luckily no casualties reported so far. Damages to buildings, properties & roads in certain areas reported besides water gushing out of fields witnessed. No reason to panic,” Sarma tweeted.
