PUBLISHED:

GUWAHATI: The Assam health and family welfare department has undertaken a unique initiative for the senior citizens of the state. The department in collaboration with National Health Mission (NHM), Assam and Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has been organising mega health camps every month for all geriatric age group people. All investigations and treatment have been provided free at these camps.

“Last month we had organised such camps. We have planned to organise camps twice in every month for the geriatric age group people. All the investigations including MRI, CT, and ultrasound will be done for them,” said GMCH superintendent Dr. Abhijit Sarma.
