GUWAHATI: A four-wheeler vehicle caught fire near Jorabat at National Highway 37 on Thursday evening. The vehicle was completely gutted by the fire.
According to reports the vehicle AS01AW8321 was on its way from Tezpur to Guwahati and suddenly caught fire due to electrical malfunction.
“We were on our way when the engine stopped functioning suddenly. Somehow we managed to get the vehicle here. Then we filled oil and tried to self-start and witnessed fire. We came out of the vehicle and tried to douse the fire using sand. But the fire won’t stop,” said the occupant of the vehicle.
