Guwahati: All India Mahila Congress President and former Silchar MP Sushmita Dev reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus on Wednesday.
Reports quoted her as saying that, ‘I am asymptomatic and will follow the protocol.’
According to Barak Bulletin report, on June 30 she met Rudra Narayan Gupta, Director, Green Heals Hospital who was earlier tested positive for COVID-19 on July 6.
Sushmita Deb was in the contact list of Rudra Narayan Gupta.
Sushmita Dev was a member of the 16th Lok Sabha from the constituency of Silchar in Assam. She is the daughter of renowned veteran politician and a key member of the Indian National Congress Santosh Mohan Dev.
