Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after suffering a massive heart attack. She was 67.
According to reports, the senior BJP leader was brought to AIIMS at 10:15 pm after she suffered a massive cardiac arrest in the evening. It is reported that she was very critical when she was admitted to the hospital. However, despite best efforts of doctors to revive her, she breathed her last.
Several senior politicians, including top BJP leaders, and family members rushed to AIIMS after she was admitted to hospital.
Meanwhile, PM Modi, in a series of tweets, condolled Sushma Swaraj’s demise saying “a glorious chapter in Indian politics comes to an end”.
