GUWAHATI: Former Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday took oath as MLA in the first session of new assembly. The oath was administered by pro-tem speaker Phani Bhushan Choudhury.
Sonowal is the MLA from Majuli, the first river district of India.
“It is my honour to once again serve the people and I promise to work towards building the Assam of our dreams,” the former chief minister said in a tweet.
