GUWAHATI: Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has assured the Assam Government that the centre is resolute in its commitment to lend all possible assistance to the state in overcoming the fiscal situation arising due to COVID-19 pandemic. Sitharaman had a telephonic conversation with Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and reiterated the central government’s commitment in dealing with the fiscal situation.
