Sweden defeated Kore Republic (South Korea) by a goal to nill, Swedish captain Andreas Granqvist scoring from the penalty spot. Sweden is making a return to the world cups after 12 long years.

On the other hand, captain Harry Kane inspired England to a 2-1 victory over North African rivals Tunisia with Kane scoring both the goals for England.

In today’s matches, Columbia and Poland will face Japan and Senegal at the Mordovia Arena, Saransk and Spartak Stadium, Moscow respectively.
On the other hand, hosts Russia will face Egypt in their second group match at St. Petersburg. Russia had thrashed Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the opening match of Russia 2018 while a Salah-less Egypt went down 0-1 to Uruguay.
