Family Members of Arrested Khalistani Leader Amritpal and & Co Arrive in Dibrugarh

A total of 13 people including the family members of pro-Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh arrived in Dibrugarh, Assam on Thursday morning to meet the leader and his associates.

As per inputs, Amritpal Singh’s father Tarsem Singh has also arrived at Dibrugarh to meet his son in Dibrugarh Central Jail.

In order to arrange a meeting between Amritpal and his associates and their family members, advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, a member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has also come to Dibrugarh.

Worth mentioning that, Khalistani sympathizer and Waris Punjab De chief, Amritpal Singh was arrested on April 23 and bought to Dibrugarh Central jail in Assam the same day. Amritpal was arrested after evading the police for over a month since March 18.

On Tuesday, Pro-Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh was interrogated by Intelligence Bureau (IB) officers at Dibrugarh Central Jail, police sources said.

The Waris Punjab De (WPD) chief has been kept in a separate cell.

Nine close aides of Amritpal Singh are already lodged at the same jail under the National Security Act. They are-Harjeet Singh (Amritpal’s uncle), Daljit Singh Kalsi, Varinder Singh Johal, Papalpreet Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Basant Singh, Bhagwant Singh and Gurinderpal Singh Aujla.

As per jail sources, Amritpal was not allowed to meet other members of the outfit, including his close aide Papalpreet Singh.
