GUWAHATI: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited has suspended its 27 employees who are charged with corruption. These employees were found to be involved in a medical scam where they have faked medical bills.
The Gauhati Medical College and Hospital authorities and the APDCL had raised the issue of corruption against these employees. They have been accused of forging medical referral certificates and reimbursement bills.
As per reports, since 2017, the employees have taken out around Rs. 1.94 in the name of medical bills.
The GMCH officials had filed three separate FIRs at the Bhangagarh Police Station against officials of APDCL, education and finance departments.
