An explosion has reportedly taken place at Karachi in Pakistan hours after three blasts took place near Lahore’s Walton Airport.
Pakistani TV reported that the explosion in Karachi took place in the Sharafi Goth area of the city.
Details and nature of the blast and whether there are injuries and casualties are not immediately known.
The explosion in Karachi comes after three blasts rocked Gopal Nagar and Naseerabad areas of Lahore near Walton Airport.
The areas where the blasts were reported are close to Lahore’s posh central business district and the Lahore army cantonment, the reports further stated, adding that no casualties were reported in the wake of the explosions.
Indian armed forces had launched missile attacks on nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir early Wednesday. The attacks, codenamed “Operation Sindoor“, avenged the Pahalgam killings with the precision strikes killing over 70 terrorists.
The well-coordinated attacks targeted terrorist bases, including Muridke and Bahawalpur which are strongholds of terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.
