Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday held a meeting with the Revenue & Disaster Management Department to discuss various issues of the department.
Taking to his Twitter CM Sarma wrote, “Today, held a review meeting with Revenue & Disaster Mgmt Dept. Among others, issues like survey of non-cadastral villages, drafting service rule and inter dist transfer of lot mandals, simplification of partition of ejmali patta and hereditary transfer of land were discussed.”

Advocating for total reforms of the State’s Revenue Administration, the Chief Minister asked the department to complete all pending partition and mutation cases in a mission mode by opening a portal, organizing Rajah Adalat, etc. within the next few months. For that, a mission namely “Mission Basundhara” would be launched on 2nd October 2021.
He also asked the department to expedite the process of cadastral survey of all remaining non-cadastral villages and to a detailed survey of lands in 27 districts of Assam excluding the six schedule areas. He directed the department to achieve the goal of completely digitizing the land records of the state within 2023.
