Guwahati: A poll of exit polls for Uttarakhand assembly elections 2022 indicates a hung house with no party crossing the required majority of 36 seats.

An average of 10 available exit polls shows a close contest between the BJP and Congress, with BJP at a slight edge but both parties within reach of a majority.

News 24 exit poll shows BJP winning 43 of the total 70 assembly seats in the hill state while the Congress gets 24 in the news channel’s poll.

However, India TV-Ground Zero Research has BJP at 25-29 and the Congress leading at 37-41.

While Zee news-DesignBoxed exit poll predicts a hung assembly in Goa too.

Congress alliance is expected to emerge as the single largest party with a 33 per cent vote share, followed by BJP with a 31 per cent vote share. In terms of seat share, the Congress alliance is expected to win 14-19; BJP 13-18, MGP alliance 2-5, AAP 1-3 and other 1-3 of the total 40 seats in Goa.

As the exit polls predict a hung assembly in Goa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant says the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win 18-22 seats and form the government.

The exit poll result put the Trinamool Congress-Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party alliance in the third spot with the likelihood of winning 2-5 seats, followed by others with 0-4 seats.

Besides the Congress and the BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Trinamool Congress, the MGP, the Shiv Sena, the NCP, the Revolutionary Goans, the Goencho Swabhimaan Party and the Jai Mahabharat Party, among others, were also in the poll fray besides 68 independent candidates.
