Guwahati: Former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi tested negative for COVID-19 on Wednesday. Tarun Gogoi was admitted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital(GMCH) on August 25 after he tested positive for the virus.
On August 31, Tarun Gogoi had a sudden fall in oxygen saturation level and it came down to 88 percent at around 11:30 PM. He was then given a unit of plasma and two liters of oxygen, following which his oxygen saturation came to normal.
Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also set up a special team of doctors to monitor the health of Tarun Gogoi.
According to sources, Gogoi will stay in the hospital for a few more days. His health condition is normal now.
