Emraan Hashmi celebrates his 42nd birthday, Blockbuster hits by the ‘Murder’ actor

Guwahati: Emraan Hashmi is a fantastic actor who has won hearts of millions through his unconventional roles. The actor turned 42 today.  One of the many unique factors that could be attributed to his success has been the melodious songs in his films.

Hashmi has been part of many wonderful movies such as Jannat, Murder, Kalyug, Aksar that have churned out some of the superhit tracks in Bollywood.

An entire generation grew up listening to the soulful songs from Emraan’s films. They can be used to describe any kind of situation and feeling. In recent times, he has made a comeback of sorts appearing in much-talked about web series The Bard of Blood, film The Body and will soon be seen with Amitabh Bachchan in Chehre.

A loving husband to Parveen Shahani and a doting father to 10-year-old Ayaan, Emraan has been perfectly balancing his personal and professional life.

Jannat:

A crime romance flick by director Mahesh Bhatt, `Jannat` will always be remembered for Emraan Hashmi`s iconic proposal scene which is undoubtedly every girl`s dream. A second installment to the film was also made with a similar theme.

Awarapan

When it comes to portraying intense characters on screen, Emraan Hashmi never fails to hit the ball out of the park for a six. As a heartbroken man who has ghosts of his past to deal with, the actor made us reach for the tissues in Awarapan.

Gangster:

Touted to be one of Emraan Hashmi’s finest works till date, the actor left us glued to the film with the twists and turns in his character. Also, his chemistry with his co-star Kangana Ranaut was another highlight of the film.

 

Murder:

Inspired by the Hollywood film Unfaithful, Murder revolves around Simran (Mallika Sherawat) who’s unhappy in her marriage with a workaholic man named Sudhir (Ashmit Patel). She goes on to find solace in a steamy affair with Sunny (Emraan Hashmi). However, the guilt gets to her and she leaves him.

The Dirty Picture:

The Dirty Picture featured Emraan Hashmi opposite Vidya Balan in the lead. The film is inspired from the life of popular South actress, Silk Smitha, who was popular for her erotic roles and considered to be a sex symbol. Helmed by Milan Luthria and co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, The Dirty Picture featured Emraan playing the role of a filmmaker called Abraham, who’s also the narrator of the film.

Sanghai:

Political thrillers are a rare genre when it comes to Bollywood films. But even though we might be treated with few films in this genre, they mostly are well crafted and executed. Shanghai was another film in that list.

Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai

Aaj ka kaam kal par chhodonga … toh aaj bura maan jayega.” Emraan Hashmi packed a solid punch as a badass gangster Shoaib Khan in Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Loaded with sharp dialogues and swag, the actor left a lasting impression on the audience.
