Elephant tramples man to death at Dhanubhanga; another person injured, rushed to Goalpara for better treatment

GUWAHATI, Feb 6: One person died after he was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Dhanubhanga in Assam’s Goalpara district today.

The deceased has been identified as Padmalochan Rabha (35), a resident of Bakhrakhuti locality.

Another person, identified as Nabin Rabha (65), was seriously injured after he was also attacked by the wild jumbo.

The deceased and the injured persons had gone to graze cattle when they were attacked by the pachyderm.

The injured person has been rushed to Goalpara Civil Hospital for better treatment.
