An elephant enters Army school in Guwahati’s Satgaon locality late Tuesday night leading to panic among school authorities

Elephant enters Army school in Guwahati’s Satgaon locality: People might still remember an elephant strolling down the busy GS Road in Guwahati on a hot summer afternoon some six years ago. This time around, a jumbo decided roaming around the streets would not be too ideal a thing to do and that it was time to take some early morning classes: hence a visit to the Army Public School in Guwahati’s Satgaon.

The elephant, believed to be the same one which is often seen meandering around Satgaon locality after straying down from the nearly Amchang forests — possibly in search of food — entered the Army Public School inside the Army camp late Tuesday night.

The giant pachyderm’s presence triggered panic among school authorities.

A video of the elephant strolling along the corridors of the school caught the internet by storm.

A person was heard requesting the elephant to exit the school premises.

“Maharaj, jaayeae (Maharaj please go away…” the person was heard requesting to the elephant as it strolled along the corridors of the school.
