The Election Commission of India (ECI) Saturday announced the poll schedule for the five election-bound States of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram.
Apart from Chhattisgarh that will go to polls in two phases, the ECI announced single-phase hustings for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Mizoram.
While the first phase of elections in Chhattisgarh will be held on Nov 12, voting in the second phase will be held on Nov 20.
On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram will go to polls in a single phase on Nov 28 while elections (single phase) in Telangana and Rajasthan will be held on Dec 7, Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat announced in New Delhi.

Counting of votes in all the five States will take place on Dec 11, Rawat added.

Meanwhile, the election commission also announced the date for by-polls in Shimoga, Bellary and Mandya in Karnataka which will be held on Nov 3.
