GUWAHATI: An earthquake jolted Guwahati and different parts of Assam at around 8.13 PM on Monday. Many parts of the Northeastern States also experienced the tremors. So far there is no immediate report of any damage.
According to the National Centre for Seismology the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.4 in the Richter scale. The epicentre is in Churachandpur district in Manipur.
