GUWAHATI: Assam Police Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested a drug dealer at Ulubari in Guwahati on Wednesday. The CID sleuths also recovered drugs (tablets) worth Rs. 30 lakh from his possession.
The arrested drug dealer has been identified as Mojibur Rahman Mandal (38) of Dhubri.
Police seized 30,000 methamphetamine tablets from the drug supplier.
According to police sources, the seized drugs were transported by the supplier from Myanmar.
Acting on a tip-off, the CID team apprehended the drug dealer and seized the drugs in front of Haji Musafir Khana in the Ulubari area where the drug dealer was about to sell the drugs.
