GUWAHATI: Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has approved Defence Research Laboratory at Tezpur in Assam as COVID-19 testing centre.
Taking to Twitter Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma writes, “In yet another development that strengthens our ongoing fight against a pandemic, I am pleased to share that @DRDO_India has approved Defence Research Laboratory, Tezpur as an authorized testing centre for #COVID19.”
On May 29 health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma along with his deputy Pijush Hazarika visited the laboratory at Tezpur. He expressed hope that the testing facility will bolster Assam’s fight against COVID-19.
