GUWAHATI: Dr. Abhijit Sharma has been appointed as the new Superintendent (I/C) of the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Abhijit Sharma replaced Dr. Ramen Talukdar and he has been transferred and posted as Professor, Department of Radio-diagnosis, Lakhimpur Medical College as per a Government of Assam order, dated 9th June.
It is to be mentioned that Abhijit Sharma was the Additional Superintendent, Gauhati Medical College Hospital(GMCH) and Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital(MMCH).
On the other hand, Dr. Achyut Kr. Baishya has been posted as Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent (I/C) at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
The order further states:
Dr. Ratna Kanta Talukdar, Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital is hereby relieved from the charge of Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital.
Dr. Ramen Talukdar, Professor, Department of Radiotherapy, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital is hereby transferred and posted as Professor, Department of Radio-diagnosis, Lakhimpur Medical College. He is relieved from the charge of Superintendent (1/c),
Dr. Manoj Choudhury, Professor, Department of Physiology, Gauhati Medical College and Additional Director of Medical Education, Assam will hold the additional charge of Executive Director, National Health Mission, Assam.
Dr. Anupal Kr. Sarma, Associate Professor, Department of Physiology. Tezpur Medical College & Hospital will hold the charge of Additional Superintendent (1/c), Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital. He is relieved from the charge of Additional Superintendent, Kalapahar Hospital, Annex Hospital of Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
