Assam double murder: Joykanta Das killed his wife Gitarani Das and a government school teacher named Bhaskar Nath after finding them together at his house in Kampur
A double murder has shocked people of Assam after a person killed his wife and a school teacher at Kampur in Assam’s Nagaon district after he found them together at his house on Tuesday night.
The accused named Joykanta Das later surrendered before Kampur Police.
Joykanta, who reportedly works in Guwahati, had returned home unannounced last night.
When he reached home, he found his wife Gitarani Das with a government school teacher named Bhaskar Nath.
Their 10-year-old son was reportedly in another room.
Suspecting infidelity on the part of his wife, Joykanta, in a fit of rage, killed wife Gitarani and school teacher Bhaskar, stabbing them with a sharp weapon.
Both of them died on the spot. The accused then handed himself over to the Police.
School teacher Bhaskar Nath hailed from Sipajhar in Darrang district.
