DNA tests performed on twin train rape-&-murder accused


DNA tests are performed on the two arrested accused- Bikash Das and Bipin Pandey in the shocking twin train rape-and-murder case. Their blood samples have been collected in the Sivasagar Civil Hospital on Tuesday amid high security. They brought from Ligiripukhuri Battalion camp where they are being grilled in connection with the first incident of rape and murder.

On the other hand, people demanded strict action against them, even some demanded capital punishment. The accused used anesthetics to drug the two victims and then raped and murdered them. Incidentally, Bipin sexually assaulted the woman even after strangulating her to death. They also took away the ornaments and other valuables from the two victims before making good their escape.

Earlier, the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal said that the two arrested accused in the shocking twin train rape-and-murder case will be tried in a fast-track court. He has also added that, he had directed police to submit the charge-sheet in the case in quickest-possible time to ensure that the victim families get speedy justice.

Meanwhile, police will produce the accused in court tomorrow and likely to ask for more days in custody.
