GUWAHATI, Oct 28: The Government of Assam has declared local holiday in Kamrup(Metro) area district on Nov 1, Friday, on account of the festival of lights Diwali.
The State Government’s General Administration Department (GAD) issued an official order declaring local holiday on Nov 1.
All State Government offices, educational institutions within Kamrup (Metro) District will remain closed on Friday.
Financial institutions within Kamrup (Metro) district will also down their shutters on Friday.
