GUWAHATI: The bodies of Tankeswar Kalita and one of his daughters were recovered on Friday morning who had gone missing after their car fell into the river at Geluwa in Sisiborgaon under Dhemaji district on Thursday. Manaranjan Mahato, the driver of the car is still missing.
The teams of NDRF and SDRF also found the i-10 car which met the deadly accident.
Two other members of the family—wife and daughter of the deceased Tankeswar Kalita are now undergoing treatment at Dibrugarh.
The tragic incident took place when the car in which the family was traveling hit a railing of a bridge and fell into the river on Thursday morning. Following that local people immediately rushed to the spot and recovered mother and a daughter alive.
