Development has got a new impetus: Himanta Biswa Sarma expresses gratitude to PM Modi

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of two hospitals and launch ‘Asom Mala’, a programme for state highways and major district roads, at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district in Assam. NEDA convenor and Assam health, finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for his “gracious gifts to Assam and the North East in form of multiple projects since 2014”.

Sarma said that development has got a new impetus and the face of the region has substantially changed.

Taking to Twitter, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “#AssamWelcomesPM We’re forever in gratitude Hon PM for your gracious gifts to Assam and the North East in form of multiple projects since 2014. Development has got a new impetus; face of the region has substantially changed.”

 

The minister stated that a better road connectivity through ‘Asom Mala’ will lead to the overall development of the state.

“#AsomMala will also help in facilitating seamless multi-modal transportation through improved urban & rural road networks. A better connectivity will lead to overall development of state. Grateful to PM Sri

for his constant support to North East,” he wrote in a series of tweets.
