GUWAHATI, Jan 30: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has been addressing a number of rallies in Delhi since yesterday, as he took former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal head on and asked people of the national capital to vote for the BJP.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma addressed thee rallies for BJP candidates at Uttam Nagar, Greater Kailash and Karol Bagh constituencies and said that people of Delhi will teach Arvind Kejriwal a lesson for his and AAP’s misrule and that the people are ready to vote for the BJP this time.

He also took a dig at Kejriwal over his promise of cleaning Yamuna and challenged him to take a dip in the river.

“To divert the issue of polluted Yamuna River, Arvind Kejriwal started a new story and said that the Haryana government is supplying ‘poisoned’ water to Delhi. If he can bad-mouth like this about his birthplace, what value do we have for him? I will die but never speak wrong about my birthplace. This statement by Arvind Kejriwal shows his mentality. I have seen many politicians but never saw such a politician who speaks wrong about his birthplace,” Sarma said.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma also invited the former Delhi Chief Minister to come to Assam and take a dip in the Brahmaputra river.

“The momentum in Delhi is strongly in favour of the BJP. The tremendous support I noticed in my rallies yesterday, on a weekday, is reflective of the outcome which awaits us on 8th February. People of Delhi are all set to choose development over deceit,” he stated in a post on ‘X’.

Chief Minister Sarma, meanwhile, addressed three more rallies today, and appealed people to vote for BJP.
