GUWAHATI: A cycle rally was organized in Guwahati as a part of SVEEP programme on Sunday to create awareness among voters ahead of the Assam Assembly Elections. The rally ‘Cyclothon for Democracy- Ride to Vote’ was flagged off by the Chief Electoral Officer of Assam, Nitin Khade.

Above 150 cyclists from different parts of Assam took part in the cyclothon. Assamese actor Kapil Bora, Additional CEO Debaprasad Misra, Commissioner of Transport Adil Khan, Joint CEO Dr. P. Uday Praveen, Joint CEO Rahul Chandra Das, Deputy CEO Dimple Baruah, Assistant CEO Puja Punam Gogoi, and other dignitaries took part in the cycle rally.

The ‘Cyclothon for Democracy- Ride to vote’ rally will be held across Assam and will conclude at Boko in Assam on April 4, said a press release.
