GUWAHATI, Dec 16: The Assam Government is optimistic that curfew in Guwahati and in other towns where it is clamped will be lifted very soon and that mobile internet connectivity will also be restored.
Assam Finance, Health and PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday that the government is constantly reviewing the law and order situation in the State and that the curfew will be withdrawn completely very soon provided peace prevails.
“The situation has been improving and hence day curfew has already been withdrawn. We are hopeful of withdrawing curfew completely at the earliest possible date,” Sarma said, and added: “We hope that mobile internet connectivity will also be restored very soon.”
