GUWAHATI, JAN 28: The COVID19 situation in Assam has improved significantly with both cases and positivity rate coming down in the past couple of days. While 3,677 persons tested positive for COVID19 in Assam yesterday (Jan 27), the positivity rate camedown to 8.28%. The total tests that were carried out yesterday was 44,389. While 768 persons tested positive in Kamrup (Metro) during the past 24 hours, 20 persons succumbed to the virus in the State during this period.
On the other hand, the number of positive cases on Wednesday (Jan 26) was 1951 with 422 people testing positive in Kamrup (Metro) district while the positivity rate was 9.85%.
