GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited Hotel Vivanta by Taj in Guwahati where doctors and nurses are under quarantine. As a mandatory protocol, those doctors and nurses who attended COVID19 patients for 7 days are kept in a 14-day quarantine.
“I visited hotel and instructed staff that best care be ensured for doctors & nurses there. My gratitude to doctors on World Health Day,” minister Sarma stated in a Tweet.
The Assam Government will bear the expenses for hosting the doctors and nurses at the hotel.

Earlier on April 4 minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “This is good news for us that during the quarantine period, the doctors and nurses will live a normal life instead of feeling imprisoned.”
