GUWAHATI: In Assam, COVID19 cases have gone up in the districts of Kamrup(M), Golaghat and Sonitpur. This was stated by state health minister Keshab Mahanta on Thursday. The positivity rate in these locations has seen an increase in the past few days.
Talking to reporters, Mahanta said that till coming Saturday, the existing SOP will continue and after a review by chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma changes will be brought in the SOP.
Keshab Mahanta further stated that places, where the infection is coming down, will see relaxation and where it is not coming down or increasing will see stricter restrictions.
