GUWAHATI: In view of Coronavirus outbreak in Assam, many people have come forward to support the government’s efforts against COVID19. So far, 10,595 people have contributed Rs. 24.63 crore to Assam Arogya Nidhi as a move to strengthen the government’s efforts against the pandemic.
According to a Tweet of Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma 10,595 people donated a total amount of Rs. 24,63,88,967.61 till April 7. He expressed his gratitude to the people for their valuable contribution.
“Every drop counts! Joyed at overwhelmingly generous support. My gratitude to 10,595 people who have contributed in Assam Arogya Nidhi to win the battle against #Covid_19. We’ve received a sum of Rs 24.63 cr so far. Request all to do their bit,” Dr. Sarma wrote in a Tweet.
