GUWAHATI: From next week, passengers arriving at Guwahati Airport will not have to travel to Sarusajai centre for COVID-19 tests. The test will be done at the airport itself. This was stated by Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
All incoming flight passengers to Guwahati have to undergo COVID-19 test at Sarusajai COVID centre.
The Assam Government has also withdrawn the mandatory COVID-19 test for people travelling within Assam or between the Northeastern States.
Sharing the update Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also said that the new update will come into effect from next week. The health minister Tweeted, “From next week-

2. Air passengers travelling within Assam and those travelling between North East States will no longer require mandatory #COVID19 testing.”
