GUWAHATI: Nature Care and Tourism Education Foundation(NCTEF) on Monday donated 1500 N95 masks to the forest department officials at Aranya Bhawan in Guwahati to combat Covid-19.
Speaking to News Live in a Telephonic conversation, NCTEF president, Julin Boruah said, “We distributed the masks to ensure the safety of the forest department officials who are continuously working for the safety and security of the wildlife.”
“The Forest department officials are our pride and if they stay safe during this pandemic time, they will be able to look after the wildlife and wild animals properly. So, it can be said that somehow this was to help the wild animals of our state,” Boruah added.
It is to be noted that NCTEF and Julin Boruah have been traveling to different parts of Assam including Hailakandi, Karimganj, Silchar, Biswanath Chariali, Jorhat, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Nalbari and other places to distribute masks and sanitize different premises as a fight against the pandemic.
Earlier, in 2020, NCTEF donated 3000 face masks to the forest department official staff working in Kaziranga National Park and Manas National Park in Assam.
